RCX train ideas - Motor modification - have a 2x4 electric plate fitted so that power from rails is fed to one half, other half goes to motor. Can use as normal by putting another 2x4 electric plate on top.
- Signals - colour would probably be difficult without a mobile vision command 8?) Maybe IR transmitters? Use light sensors to transmit? Needs experimentation.
- Train position - light sensors? touch sensors triggered by weight? IR receivers? Be nice to use rails - possible if batteries used for RCXs but difficult.
- Bar codes between tracks for static bits like station approaches, speed limits, etc. Need to be direction sensitive, ie not centred between tracks.
