Back again! Again!

January 16th, 2010 by RoscoHead

Well, I’m happy to say that Brickley’s Words is back again. At least all those old links won’t be dead forever. But the instructions page is now permanently offline – hopefully that will keep traffic here to a dull roar, and keep my hosting company happy. Meanwhile, if you’re searching for instructions, please use Brickset, as Huw has now added links to the instructions at LEGO.com.

Oh, and happy new year.

This is it then

November 20th, 2009 by RoscoHead

Well, my host has given me 72 hours to fix the problem, or be shut down. I can’t afford non-shared hosting, and it’s unlikely anything I can do will fix the issue, so unless something amazing happens in the next 3 days, this is it for Brickley’s words. The main site may stay, along with the gallery if it doesn’t cause the CPU limit to be exceeded, but the LEGO instruction search will be shut down. It’s a pity it came to this, but that’s just the way things go sometimes. Maybe someone else will take over.

Another day…

…another change of host. All the important bits seem to be working, except the gallery, which I’ll fix ASAP. Please let me know if you find any other weird things.

Apologies…

After an upgrade of WordPress yesterday, I failed to test everything thoroughly, and it seems the upgrade broke the instructions download links. Well actually if the truth be known, the upgrade highlighted a piece of bad code in my page…

But anyway, after being informed of the problem, I have quickly fixed it, and we should be all set to go now. Enjoy!

Stability ensues

August 17th, 2007 by Administrator

Well after some rather irritating issues with my new host, everything seems to be pretty stable now. All the content has been transferred from the old static pages, and can be found from the main page; my gallery is now up & running at usable speed with over 2000 pics already added, note that it has RSS feeds available.

And of course this blog is working fine now, along with the instructions cross reference page. So hopefully now I can go back to just adding more content!
