They will soon (2009) launch a new system based on the new Power Functions System. Several AFOLs are involved in the design process. I helped them by designing the tower and blades. They completed the design of the nacelle and hub, complete with motors so it could actually generate power. Nationwide LEGO Wind Turbine Competition!August 10th, 2007 by RoscoHead![]() Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) is building LEGO wind turbines in capital cities across the nation for Engineering Week! Event detailsThe public’s imagination will be captured by participating in the construction of over 3,500 LEGO bricks to form a fully functioning three-metre tall wind turbine! For a gold coin donation, members of the public will add LEGO bricks to the construction. The wind turbines will be constructed simultaneously in popular public spaces across the nation on Friday August 24th:
