URL change for Instruction Cross Reference

February 18th, 2007 by Administrator

Well, after installing the new version of WordPress, I actually read some of the documentation, and found that it has these neato gizmoes called permalinks. Seasoned bloggers are probably laughing at how long it took me to figure this out, and all I can really do is say “better late than never.”

Anyway, I’ve changed Brickley’s Words to use permalinks, and one effect of that is to make the page URLs a lot nicer, including my Instruction Cross Reference page.

The new link is here. As usual, let me know if anything doesn’t work the way it should.

WordPress upgrade

Another software upgrade, this time to v2.1, codenamed “Ella”. Probably no major differences on the outside, but as usual, let me know if there’s any problems.

Bridging Sydney – Complete!

January 31st, 2007 by RoscoHead
The Bridge Well, after months of planning and 2 weeks of building, the project is finally complete! With lots of help from Anna (LEGO Aus), Carmel (HHT), Richie & Steve (STUDS) and the bunch at the Museum of Sydney, it all came together relatively smoothly. You can read all about it here.

Glad thats over…

January 10th, 2007 by RoscoHead

Well, I just finished moving to my new place, and I am now getting ready to head to Sydney for the “Bridging Sydney” exhibition. Nice busy start to the new year. Thanks to Teunis, Paul, and Trav for helping out heaps on the move.

I hope to be able to take regular progress pics as I re-build the bridge, and will post the results here. I am also informed there will be official photos taken, which I should be able to get copies of. But there’s nothing like being there – I’d urge anybody who can make it to the exhibition to try to get there and check out all the exhibits.

It is at the Museum of Sydney, and runs until 29th of April, and although I will only be there building until 27th of January, my completed bridge will be on display until the end of the exhibition.

New weather display

November 19th, 2006 by Administrator

I recently installed the latest WeatherIcon plugin for WordPress, upgrading from the old weather-report plugin. It still gets it’s information from the Melbourne airport METAR station, but is formatted nicer, and has a neat icon as well. I may create a page later allowing people to retrieve weather details from other locations as well. Hope you like it.
